Acne is a common skin condition that can have many forms. Generally, acne refers to the medical term Acne Vulgaris and is caused by bacteria called Propion. This is the most common form of Acne and it is an inflammatory disease, which affect the hair follicles and oil producing glands of the human skin. Acne is nearly always the product of blood impurities. Rising hormones levels during puberty, in both male and females, and will cause your oil glands, which open into pores on the surface of your skin to expand by producing more oil called sebum. If the oil produced in those glands, 2,000 of them per square inch on your forehead alone, mixes with skin cells and bacteria just under the surface of your skin, a blackhead develops. And if the top of the oil gland isn't wide enough, a whitehead develops, builds and erupts into a pimple. In severe acne cases, large red bumps called cysts form. The cysts can be very painful and may cause permanent scaring. These physical scars can cause extreme emotional distress that can last a lifetime through anxiety, loss of self-esteem and depression. To avoid these emotional and physical scars, Dermatologists recommend starting treatment as soon as symptoms appear and continue appropriate treatment for as long as necessary to prevent the acne from recurring. Acne usually appears on the face but can also appear on the neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. Whey acne being in boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 11, it usually results in a very severe case of acne as a teenager. 25 percent of adult men and 50 percent of adult women suffer from occasional occurrences of acne. Acne in adults is thought to be caused by, heredity or genetic factors, vitamin deficiency, stress, poor hygiene and other factors associated with adult life styles choices. Vitamin A Vitamin B Vitamin E Zinc Amino Acid Aloe Vera Tea Tree Oil Beta Carotene Benzoyl Peroxide Resorcinol Sulfur Salicylic Acid Vitamin A, B and E are all essential for the proper health and maintenance of the skin tissue. Vitamin A will help unplug the existing cysts and pimples allowing other topical medication to enter the follicles. Isotretinoin, a Vitamin A derivative, is an oral drug that is usually taken once or twice a day with food for 4 to 6 months. Isotretinoin has been shown to be very effective in treating severe acne and can either improve or clear over 80% of patients studied. Isotretinoin has a much longer effect than anti-bacterial treatments and will often cure acne for good. It reduces the size of oil glands and much less oil is produced and as a result the growth of propion bacteria is reduced. Vitamin A is stored in the fat cells of the human body and can reach toxic levels. DO NOT take more than the recommended dosage of Vitamin A. Zinc is needed for healing and maintaining healthy tissues. Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein and are the vital components of skin, hair, muscle tissue, the body's organs, blood cells, various enzymes and hormones. Aloe Vera will help rejuvenate and tone skin all over. A naturally cooling gel, the Aloe Vera botanical ingredients work together to stimulate the blood circulation and naturally soften the skin. Tea Tree Oil has natural anti-inflammatory properties and helps sooth and treat problem skin. It is used to help tighten pores and firm skin for a more youthful, healthy appearance. Symptoms of Beta Carotene deficiency include ache, dry dull hair, dry skin and thickened scaly skin on the palms and soles of the feet. Some over the over the counter topical treatments prescribed by Dermatologists include the following. Benzoyl peroxide which kills the Propion bacteria and may reduce the production of excess oil. Resorcinol, Sulfur, which can help breakdown blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic Acid also helps breakdown blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps cut down the shedding of cells lining the hair follicles clogging the pores of the skin. Salicylic acid is used as a mild abrasive to chemically exfoliate the skin to encourage the peeling of the top layer and to prevent a build-up of dead skin cells which combine with the oil to block pores. • ANSWER:
Acne usually occurs when the oil glands of the skin start producing excess oil. Even though acne does not pose any health threats it can leave scars on your face. Acne is a skin condition that affects people of all ages and is not an adolescent disease.

Even though acne does not cause health problems, it is important that you get the right treatment for acne. Many women have complained of acne flaring up after giving birth. No one knows the cause of acne and most people rely on hearsay when dealing with acne. Also, there is no sure shot treatment for acne. If your doctor has suggested a treatment, you will have to wait for at least 3 weeks to see any improvements. Most doctors will suggest natural treatment for acne as it effective, simple and affordable.

To get rid of acne you can crush orange peel and mix it with normal water and apply the mixture on the affected area. You can also apply lemon juice to reduce pimples. Some people rub raw garlic on the affected area to reduce acne. You can grate cucumber and apply it on the affected area. Some people apply Fenugreek paste on the affected area before going to bed. In the morning they use warm water to wash their face.

The food that you have can also cause acne. Eating at odd hours, high sugar consumption and eating fried food can cause acne. If you suffer from the problem of irregular bowels, toxins and junk is not eliminated from body which can result in acne and other skin diseases.

Almost all people suffer from acne at some point in their life and most of them forget how it can affect them. However, it can be treated provided you don't panic and avoid using harsh medicines and cream.

    • ANSWER:
There are a lot of different products you could use to help lighten the scars, but the question is whether they are going to work or not. I had a similar problem myself about a year ago. I had acne scars in a few different places on my face, and it finally got to the point that I could not deal with it anymore, I was determined to find a product that actually worked.

Thankfully, I came across a product called, Skin Soho Spot Creme. This product is amazing, I don't know what I would have done if I did not find it because it has done wonders for my scars. They are considerably lighter, to the point that they are pretty much gone! I highly, highly recommend this product, it is a little pricey not too bad, but it is sooo worth it. It gave me my confidence back, and that's something that you can't really put a price on.

You should definitely check it out, take a look at the product, and on the site you can also find other customer reviews, and I can promise you that you will not be disappointed if you purchase this product.

    Thanks guys.

    • ANSWER:
It really depends on your acne scars and your skin type.

Also the word cheap is very relative... I might consider cheap in the 25-50 range where as someone else might consider it in under 0...

But I will attempt to try to answer as best as possible so here it goes:

The only real way that you can reduce acne scaring is laser. This is probably also the most expensive treatment out there which usually sets you back a thousand if not more.

Every other thing is basically a hit and miss. You will hear mixed reviews about all of them. So you basically have to try them your self.

If you are looking for an over the counter cream to help reduce scaring the two big ones are Medarma and Zenmed.

I personally would recommend Zenmed as I have heard better reviews about it and also it comes with a 60 day money back guarantee.

      http://www.acnescarstreatments.com/zenmed.html

Your alternative to a cream would be home remedies, you can find a lot of them online and once again you have to try a few to see which one actually helps you the most.

Here are a few that should get you started:

      http://www.acnescarstreatments.com/acne-scar-home-remedies/home-remedies-for-acne-scars.html

      http://www.acnescarstreatments.com/acne-scar-home-remedies/green-tea-for-acne-scars.html

and a video is always nice:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRC2l7m0UDg

And by the way, non of these are overnight solutions. The creams you will probably have to use 3-6 weeks to see results and for the home remedies once again you will hvae to use 2-4 weeks to see any results.

      Good luck,
      M
