The Doctors Homemade Acne Treatment

It's an unfair question, of course, but it needs to be asked.

Today's answer: What's wrong with doctors is their medical education!

What's wrong with medical education? For one thing, there is a common teaching procedure of giving doctors (when they have become interns) regular schedules so that they get no sleep for 24 to 36 hours. Their schedules are often planned, deliberately, to put the student-doctor into a state of sleep deprivation for the psychological purpose of seeing how he will "act under stress." That may appeal to some, but a more realistic explanation for this procedure is to brainwash the young interns.

People who want to become doctors are often, initially, motivated by the very highest principals of wanting to help and serve. They also know that there are tons of materials that they don't yet understand. So, they are usually eager to learn and willing to listen.

When they are sleep-deprived is the very best time to teach them according to many educators. They don't have the strength to disagree -- it's just like learning under hypnosis. It "works" in the sense that they learn the data implanted into them, but the process bypasses any shred of personal judgment.

In a sleep-deprived state the intern will accept the false datum that "60 mg of vitamin C per day is all that anyone needs, and he can get it from his diet!" That is a false datum, but the intern who hears that after 36 hours of no sleep is very likely to accept it without question.

Likewise, he will accept a great deal of other information, about drugs, medical procedures, and even medical ethics.

Dr. Bok, once the President of Harvard University, criticized his own Harvard Medical School because during the entire medical education, the medical student spent less than 5% of all his class-room time on the three subjects of "preventive medicine, nutrition and medical ethics." Even then, during this tiny amount of time, they "learn" false information.

Some of the most dubious information is saved for the time of the internship. The actual teachers during a doctor's internship are nothing more than senior interns -- it is verbal data coming into the head of a sleep-deprived medical student.

Dr. Robert S. Mendelsohn was a regular guest on my nightly radio show many years ago, and commented about this frequently. He even suggested that a medical student who tried to exercise too much "independent thought" during his internship would likely be flunked out. Medical situations often call for quick decisions, and that is no place for an inexperienced and untrained doctor. So, the young interns learn to follow the lead of the older, more experienced interns and doctors. When the young intern is sleep-deprived, he will follow robotically.

The late Robert S. Mendelsohn put forward the word "iatrogenocide" in his best seller, Confessions of a Medical Heretic. The meaning, of course, is death caused by the doctor, but in this case, the death of whole ethnic groups caused by the doctor. I suggest that sleep-deprivation, as in brain-washing, is a deliberate teaching technique in our medical schools, for the purpose of implanting rote certainty on the validity of drugs.

Ten years after medical school, as a practicing doctor, it is THAT education which is at the core of his robotic reaction to any suggestions about "alternative health care."

The typical medical doctor has been brainwashed, with all apparent good purpose, into a slave mentality that is unthinking and non-judgmental about what he believes to be true. There is an excellent article on brain washing available, and the Chapter that mentions sleep-deprivation type actions you can find by clicking here.

How to get rid of acne on back and legs?
I have acne on my face and that's fairly easy to treat, but on my legs and back I have all these blackheads that end up scarring. Anything I can do to get rid of them?

    • ANSWER:
      Acne Vitamin Treatment
There are various natural home remedies for the treatment of teenage acne as well as adult acne. Vitamin A and Niacin seem to be effective in the treatment of acne. There is no best medication when it comes to treating this condition because each individual reacts differently to acne treatment. However, homeopathic medication and blue light therapy can be tried in order to get rid of face scars and scars from the back and chest. Vitamin therapy should comprise the intake of 100 mg niacin, three times daily, and 50,000 international units of vitamin A, three times daily. Vitamin E, 400 mg, should be taken once daily. Continue this therapy for a month. You may also increase your intake of foods that are rich in these vitamins. Foods like spinach and kale are good sources of Niacin and should be included in your daily meal if possible. Other sources of niacin include asparagus broccoli, celery, and mushrooms. One of the simplest ways to include these vegetables in your diet is to prepare a salad using these ingredients. You can also add strips of lean white meat to your salad as white meat too is a source of niacin. Liver, carrots, sweet potatoes, and cantaloupe are all good sources of Vitamin A and should also be included in your diet. A simple way to include liver in your diet is to blend a small amount of liver along with a dash of lemon, pepper, and olive oil and use this mixture as a sandwich spread.

      Zinc Treatment for Acne
Zinc seems to be the latest arrival in terms of the treatment for acne. Its results seem promising; however, individual reactions and responses to zinc acne treatment may differ. Zinc is available in tablet and in capsule form. In tablet form, it is available as Zinfet - 200 mg. The patient can take a quarter tablet so as to get 50 mg of zinc. In capsule form, zinc is available as Ulseal 220 mg. One-fourth of the powder inside the capsule can be taken as a single dose. The patient can take a dose of 50 mg daily upto one month or till there is noticeable improvement and then reduce the dose to 25 mg. It is important to consult your doctor before you decide to try any home remedies for pimples, or include any type of supplements in your diet. You can include foods that are rich in zinc in your daily diet to make sure that you meet your daily zinc requirement. Wheat germ, pine nuts, cashew nuts, and pecan nuts are all good sources of this mineral. A simple way to include these ingredients in your daily diet plan is to crush them together in a blender and sprinkle the resultant powder over your salads and other dishes. The crushed nuts will also help to add flavor to your food.

      Orange Peel Remedy for Acne
Homemade Acne Treatment with orange peel has been found very effective. Pound the orange peel with water on a piece stone and apply on acne affected areas. Orange peels are mildly acidic in nature and help to cleanse the skin of excess sebum. You can make a face scrub out of gram flour and orange peels. This is often used as one of the most effective home remedies for pimples and acne. Dry a few pieces of orange peel and grind them lightly so that you get a coarse powder. Mix this powder with an equal amount of gram flour and then add enough water to this powder to make it a thin paste. You can use fresh carrot juice and tomato juice to the powder instead of water as carrot juice is rich in Vitamin A while tomato juice is mildly acidic in nature. Massage your face with this paste and then leave it on for five minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm or cold water.

      Lemon Cure for Acne
A simple remedy at home for acne: Apply lemon juice regularly to reduce pimples and acne. This has proven beneficial results. Lemon juice is acidic in nature and also contains Vitamin C which is beneficial to overall skin health. If you have very sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with an equal amount of fresh mint leaf juice as this will help to reduce inflammation. This is also one of the popular home remedies for blackheads.

      Garlic Remedy for Acne
Garlic has been used successfully to cure acne. Rub with raw garlic several times a day. Garlic is known to cure the toughest of acne problems. The external use of garlic helps to clear the skin of spots, pimples and boils. To cure acne further, eat three seeds of raw garlic once daily for a month. This purifies the blood stream and ensures basic cleansing of blood & keeps acne away. Garlic contains Allicin which is a natural antibiotic agent and this helps to prevent the spread of acne. If you have sensitive skin, you could add garlic juice to a spoon of yogurt and apply this mixture to your face. How to Get Rid of Acne Scars With Out-Patient Procedures

There are two main out-patient procedures that are commonly used for getting rid of scars left from acne; laser resurfacing and dermabrasion. Both acne treatments have been proven effective as a fast and harmless way of getting get rid of acne scars.

With laser resurfacing, a simple process takes place in which the skin is rubbed with "anesthetizing" creams & lotions. Once the area begins to numb, a laser is then used to remove the top layer of skin. This laser is always of the highest high quality and it focuses only on areas of the skin that are affected by acne scars. After the laser resurfacing treatment is complete, 1 to 2 weeks is required for proper healing. Once healing has finished, the patient will see a stunning drop in acne scar visibility.

Dermabrasion offers very similar results to laser resurfacing, but through quite a different procedure. In the case of dermabrasion, a metal brushing tool is used to scrape away the top layer of skin of the scarred area. Because there is more direct contact with this acne treatment, it takes at least 2 to 3 weeks to fully heal and see results. Dermabrasion and micro-dermabrasion are drastically cheaper than laser treatment for acne, which is definitely something to think about if you're trying to get rid of acne scars without shelling out large chunks of cash.

So now that you know how to get rid of acne scars in a variety of different ways, what are you going to do? Will you try to use one of these treatments as fast as possible OR will you wait and try to learn a bit more about each of these acne scar treatments? Well whatever it is you decide to do about your acne scars, always remember that you have PLENTY of viable options to choose from.

HERE'S MY THING ON PIMPLE PREVENTION!!!!!!

I don't really know how to fix scars (I could use the answer to that one, too! Image may be NSFW.

      :P
      )
Buuuuuut, here are some solutions to pimples- yay!
first, my fav, is oatmeal! I use the Coaches Oats stuff, but it can be anything as long as it's oatmeal and has no sugar in it!
You make it as if you were going to eat it, then let it cool off, you don't want to burn your skin!
ok, you just put it on and leave it on until it falls off, and then you put more on, for almost all day until night- and your pimples should have been incredibly improved!
If that doesn't work try putting a tissue around a piece of ice and holding it up to a pimple for ten minutes every 4 hours- this works best on the forhead!
Also, you can mix apple cidar vinager with water (1/4 vinager, 3/4 water) then put it with a cotton ball on your pimples for 15 mins, every 2 hours, and that should help, for a severe case, put it on before you go to bed
      oooor
you can mix salt and water (more salt than you think you'll ned) then dip in a cotton ball and hold it onto you pimple for 30 mins, or leave it on while you sleep, and that'll help!
REMEBER TO WAIT 48 HOURS BETWEEN EACH SOLUTION_ NO HURTING YOUR SKIN!!!!

  4. QUESTION:
Is it possible to treat mild cystic acne without Accutane?
I have just a few very small cystic spots on my nose. They don't hurt, and they don't stand out in a particularly noticeable way. However, they've been there for a while, and I'd really like to treat it without using Accutane.

I'd appreciate any ideas, homemade remedies, and the like. Thanks!
I don't think Accutane is necessary because I've known people put on the drug and they have had much more serious spots, while I just have a few small ones on the nose.

    • ANSWER:
I worked for a dermatologist for six years, and am now a medical professional as well. Let me tell ya...Accutane is serious and for people with serious acne. However, it is overly used because people in general are so concerned with just one pimple. I won't go into depth about how severe Accutane is, because you obviously want to use something different, but is a very strong drug.

Truly cystic acne is typically painful. Are you sure it's cystic? Cystic ane is deep and usually a hard knot under the surface of the skin. Very rarely is there ever a pustule that appears on it (usually do not appear until it's almost gone anyway). If it is truly cystic, do not squeeze it. These forms of acne have "roots" and will only grow larger upon mashing or squeezing them.
Do not use any form of scrub on your face, if you have active pimples or acne. You may use a scrub if you have blackheads. Otherwise, scrubs break the skin and spread bacteria over the rest of your face, which in turn causes acne to spread.
Probably the most effective active ingredient in acne products, benzoyl peroxide kills P. acnes, helps remove excess oils from the skin and removes dead skin cells that clog pores. It is available in strengths from 2.5 percent to 10 percent, but it can cause excessive dryness, scaling, redness and minor swelling. It can also make your skin more sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) exposure.
Salicylic acid is an ingredient that slows shedding of cells inside the hair follicles, which prevents the pores from clogging. It may also break down whiteheads (clogged pores that have no opening) and blackheads (pores that are open and have a dark surface). Salicylic acid can cause mild stinging and skin irritation. OTC acne products are available with 0.5 percent to 2 percent salicylic acid.
There are other products with other ingredients as well, but these two are the most common in OTC medications and the most effective.
Here are some other ways to avoid acne breakouts:

-Avoid oily cosmetics, sunscreens and hair products. Instead use products labeled "oil-free" or "noncomedogenic," which means they won't clog pores.
-Wash problem areas twice daily with a nonmedicated soap or mild cleanser. But don't overdo it. Excessive washing and scrubbing can worsen acne.
-Apply just enough acne product to cover the problem areas.
-Use an oil-free, water-based moisturizer to help alleviate dry, peeling skin.
-Don't pick or squeeze blemishes. Infection or scarring may result.

**Treating acne with acne products takes time and patience. It may take four to six weeks of daily use of acne products to see results, and acne may look worse before it gets better. If your acne doesn't improve after two months of treatment, you may want to see your doctor or dermatologist for a prescription lotion or medication (which does not have to be Accutane).
There are tons of prescription medications out there that are extremely helpful and not nearly as severe as Accutane. If it is truly cystic acne, this is considered a type of Grade IV acne and is usually only completely treated by a dermatologist. You may want to try your own approach at home, using OTC meds, first, but if you keep getting the nodules, please see a doctor.

  5. QUESTION:

Especially in summer my skin becomes sticky due to oilyness. I need homemade remedies for external applications.

    • ANSWER:
      Friend here are some tips

Scars left by acne on skin appear ugly. This leaves a painful impressions on the patient, people genuinely try to get rid of these scars. They try everything from topical creams, to gels, pills and lotions to remove these scars. Everyone wants flawless skin. However, acne marks may make you feel like hiding your face inside a pillow. Acne scars develop as soon as you pop pimple or squeeze it out. Popping or squeezing results in a permanent mark at the affected area. The deeper you have peeled the skin, the darker is the mark. Most of the times this action leaves a scar and it gets very difficult to get rid off this scar. Don't panic if you have already developed an acne scar. There are some home remedies that will help you eliminate these scars on your face.

Here are some tricks to solve your problem:
      a) Take fresh juice of lemon. Now dip a cotton ball in it. Pat your face with the cotton ball and let it dry naturally. Some people may find this a little irritating. You may dilute the lemon juice with some rose water or plain water. Let the surface dry naturally for 15-20 minutes and wash your face with water after a while. Repeat this process at least four times a week and you will see a remarkable change in your skin structure.

      b) Prepare a paste with some sandalwood powder and rose-water. Now add 2-4 drops of lime juice to it. Apply this paste on your face and neck. Now, let the solution dry naturally. After that, you need to rinse your face and neck thoroughly. Do this on a regular basis to get best results.

      c) Applying cucumber juice on your face with cotton wool. This should be your daily regime during summers. This will help cooling off the skin and tighten the pores. Cucumber juice is extremely helpful in making your skin glow and makes it feel fresh.

      d) Another popular homemade remedy for removing acne marks into make a paste of apple and honey. First, make apple paste and then add about 4-6 drops of honey. Apply this mask on your face. Wash off after 15 minutes. This paste helps tightening pores and also makes complexion lighter.

There are some technical procedures that will help you get rid of acne scars:

      a) Dermabrasion
This is different from micro-dermabrasion that removes top layer of dead surface skin cells from the face. Dermabrasion is actually a coarser method that removes further layers. The dermatologist will numb your face and then remove layers. The recovery time takes about a couple of weeks. Your skin will scab. Once the scab falls, you will get fresh and glowing skin.

      b) Laser resurfacing This is a method that cleans away pimples and get rid of acne scars. The use of laser is prominent in this method. CO2 laser and YAG laser are the two lasers used commonly in this procedure. This procedure removes the top layers of the skin that has been damaged. The recovery time is a couple of weeks. Your doctor may also apply a topical ointment for speeding up the recovery process.

      c) Augmentation
Here, the dermatologist injects fillers usually collagen under the skin. This smoothens acne scarred area. The doctor may take fat from other places in your body and inject instead of collagen. The recovery period is fast.

But my friend Always consult a dermatologist prior to deciding on a treatment for acne.

OR: Here are seven best methods to clear up blemishes.

      Tea-Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a popular home remedy for acne. An essential oil is diluted and applied topically to acne lesions. How is tea tree oil believed to work? Tea tree oil contains a constituent called terpinen-4-ol that's thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's anti-bacterial activity. Because tea tree oil can kill bacteria, applying topical tea tree oil to acne lesions is believed to kill Propionibacterium acnes, the skin-dwelling bacteria involved in acne. To treat mild, and occasional breakouts. This is how it works: Distilled from the leaves of an Australian shrub, tea-tree oil contains antibacterial and anti-microbial compounds called terpenoids that help kill the bacteria that, when trapped behind oil in a plugged pore, lead to acne breakouts. Try Burt s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick (, burtsbees.com). A roller-ball tube makes for easy application. Studies testing tea-tree oil against the gold-standard acne treatment, benzoyl peroxide, have shown that while the latter works more quickly, tea-tree oil is equally effective over time. And it results in fewer annoying side effects namely, dryness and redness.

      Sulfur
      If you have sensitive skin.
How it works: A time-tested, gentle acne fighter, sulfur acts like a sponge to draw oil out of blocked pores, . This dries up pimples and keeps sebum production in check, helping to prevent future blemishes. Sulfur has a distinct smell think rotten eggs. Most preparations that use it contain a masking fragrance. However, to play it safe (and avoid scaring off coworkers), apply these products at night.

      Salicylic Acid
To treat and soothe red, inflamed blemishes. Salicylic acid can have a calming, anti-inflammatory effect on pimples. It also breaks down the cement between cells in clogged pores to help unplug them,
Salicylic acid is less irritating than more potent treatments, so it may be better for those with dry skin. It also tends to work well on stubborn blackheads.

      Retinoid
      Nightly to prevent breakouts.
How they work: Retinoid, which include over-the-counter retinol and prescription-strength Retin-A, reduce acne by altering the oil chemistry on the skin. They help stop dense sebum from getting stuck within the pores, says Gross. Without oil deposits, bacteria can t grow and cause blemishes. Since retinoid can make skin sensitive to the sun, doctors recommend using them at night (and being diligent about wearing sunscreen during the day). To avoid irritation, apply every other evening to start, gradually working up to nightly use. Bonus benefit: Retinoid have been shown to increase collagen production and plump fine lines, making them a good choice if you re dealing with acne and wrinkles.

      Blue-Light Therapy
If you want the latest preventive treatment and don t mind plunking down some cash for it.
How it works: Once or twice a week, you use a handheld device to aim a beam of blue light onto your skin. It s wavelength hits and kills acne-causing bacteria, so any brewing pimples never come to the surface. This method will not address existing blemishes. Doctors typically suggest combining blue-light therapy with other remedies, such as topical treatments. To make things easy, consider a blue-light device that comes in a kit. At-home devices are smart alternatives to multiple costly treatments at a doctor s office.

      Oral Antibiotics
If you experience painful bumps below the skin surface and your pimples leave lasting marks. Oral antibiotics act from the inside to kill the bacteria that cause acne, says Keri. They also reduce the inflammation associated with pimples, so deep-seated blemishes hurt less and leave fewer scars.

Doctors usually prescribe them to get a severe condition under control and may then switch to topical treatments. Some antibiotics must be taken on an empty stomach, so read the label carefully. http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/skincare/face/ways-to-treat-acne-00000000038296/page8.html

    • ANSWER:
Acne requires a multi-faceted approach. If you have acne clean your skin gently, try not to touch your skin when your hands are not clean, and avoid the sun.

The three basics of acne treatment are to (1) unclog pores, (2) kill bacteria, and (3) minimize oil. Use mild exfoliating cleansers to unclog your pores. Use benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria. Get rid of oil on the surface of your skin by using a gentle toner. Generally drug store brands will do each of these things well. You don't need to spend a fortune.

These are all good basic skin regimens that may help with the acne battle:

Cleanse twice daily with a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash. An alternative for those who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide is 2% salicylic acid.

Apply a gel or cream containing 5% benzoyl peroxide; an alternative is sulfur or resorcinol.

At night, apply a spot cream containing sulfur to the affected areas.

Use a light skin moisturizer and oil-free makeup.

If you try all these approaches and it still does not seem to work, it is time to consult your doctor. You may need a prescription medication approach to deal with your acne.

And read the information at these sites. You may find other ideas that will help you.
